Any single pedal players out there?

Thanks all of you guys! Your help is much appreciated. I know I really need to try before I buy, but the thing is that there is no where around where I live that carries a decent selection of pedals, and I'll probably end up buying from a mail order company.

i find myself playing single more these days just because of the fact that it helps me concentrate on the groove more

<font size="2" face="Verdana, Helvetica, sans-serif">That is exactly what I feel as well. I used to have a cheap double pedal, but I found that I would only occasionally use both pedals. I also found that what I was playing didn't sound as musical, because I was just trying to include both feet for the sake of it. I now have a cheap single pedal that needs replacing, but have found setting up much more comfortable. I've decided to get a dw single, but still haven't decided between the 5000 and the 9000.

Check out ebay.....tons of stuff there..new and used.
In regards to double pedal vs. single pedal...I personaly dont like to sacrifice the way my snare and hihiat are set up...it is afterall w/the kik.....the meat and potatos of the groove. A double kik pedal makes the hihat positiona pain in the ass..even if its a 2 leg DW500 or ?...or a rotating base.......still a pain in the ass to get it in there. I like it confy so the groove and pocket it confy too.....

Single player here. Tried a double out for awhile, didn't care for it. Personally, I'm more comfortable on a single pedal, just didn't find myself using the double much. But there are cats who do amazing stuff with single and double pedals, it's all about preference.

i play single bass most of the time, and my pedal of choice is tama camco pedals. imho the best pedals ever made... the DW 5000 series is suppose to be based on the camco design? but i think its crapped compared to the original. much too sluggish.. i dun use the counter weights. i have both... erm.. that was until i traded my DW5000 for tama IC.. but my pedal of choice is always camco.

i always feel that the older simple pedals feel alot betta? like the camco, the old stock yamahas and tama pedals that came with their stage custom and rockstar kits...
